This week I am making a bit more progress with my stamp organisation. I bought lever arch files and heavy duty expanding punched pockets from Tesco and I am attaching the stamp sheets or little bags to a sheet of A4 card and putting them into the file. So far I have all the sentiment stamps in one file and almost all my LOTV, Magnolia and Sugar Nellie stamps in the second file. I really need to make more cards but its hard to be creative with the desk in such a mess!! We had a great day out at the NEC last Friday however the trip home didn't exactly go to plan! About 20 minutes into the flight home we did a U-turn and headed back to Birmingham airport due to a technical problem to do with the cabin pressure - so we had to fly back at a low level. We then had to go back through security to the check in area and queue up to arrange a different flight home. This flight didn't go until 7 am on Saturday morning - and from Manchester airport so we had to wait 3 hours, until midnight, for a bus to come to bring us to a hotel in Manchester. We reached the hotel at 2 am and were collected again at 5 am so not much time to sleep!! Got back to Belfast shortly after 8 am and went straight to bed!

Morning Bernice. So glad you enjoyed yourself at NEC - but oh my - what a nightmare getting home. The upside is that you are all safe - but what a journey! Not quite what you expected when you booked your ticket for a lovely day out!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing well with your stamp sorting - soon be creating again.
Take care. God bless.

Poor you, sounds like a nightmare return journey; no wonder you were so tired. At least you enjoyed the NEC. Happy WOYWW and good luck organising the rest of your stamps. Sarah #26
ReplyDeleteOh my, that WAS a journey and a half - you must have been shattered when you got home! Hope the NEC was worth the trip. I do like what you're doing with the stamp organisation, it makes everything much easier to see :-D

That looks pretty neat! I know I should do this too, but I also know I never will LOL! Enjoy your crafty week! zsuzsa #22
ReplyDeleteThe trials of flying! I hate it when they make you unload everything and go back through security. Grrr. Had that happen on a flight back from England to America. Had to spend the night in the airport and there was no help at all. None of us were expecting it. Poor woman had a baby with her with little supplies and no-one seemed to care. Grrr.
ReplyDeleteGlad at least you had fun on your trip. You're certainly coming along with the organising.
Happy WOYWW

ReplyDeletegoodness that was not a fun trip, still I'm glad you got there and back again via someplace else, safe and sound . deskwise - it is nice to see your progress with your storage system too... soon you will have a clear space and you can get back to making stuff Hurrah! Dx @43
ReplyDeleteHi Bernice, nice to see the organisation going well. What a rotten end to your NEC trip! You must have been exhausted. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxXx
ReplyDeleteThe organization is looking good. You'll be glad when it is all done. And it is easier to keep your area tidy if you have a place to put things and space to put it in. Your plane trip sounds a little too exciting for me! But it all worked out even if you arrived later and tireder.
ReplyDeleteI 'm always pleased with the time I put into organizing!
ReplyDeletethanks for the kind words.

Gawd, when you put it like that, one has to say that you suffer for your craft! I know what you mean about not being able to see the wood for the trees if your desk is a mess. Except as your desk is covered in organisings, can it really be a mess? Get your tired head around that!!
ReplyDeleteGreat organising. Yes thanks the pills seem to be doing the trick so far, we'll see.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me BJ#29
