WOYWW 160/Royal visit

Before I show my desk this week, I have to show you these photos of our Royal visit.  The Queen and Prince Philip came to open our new hospital this afternoon and our school had prime position at the door.  Unfortunately the camermen from the press stepped in front of us when we were taking some of our photos, but nevertheless we had a great view.  On the way in she gave us a big smile and a wave - one of the other teachers got a brilliant photo (she's taller than me!!) - so I'll have to get a copy.

At least she didn't need to use the umbrella in the back of the car!  We only found out yesterday that we were invited, so the children spent the morning making flags!  They were very excited but the little ones got pretty tired standing, as we had a very long wait.
On to my desk this week - not a lot happening at the moment - too busy with end of term stuff to make many cards.  I had made some cards last week for the shop where we sell them, so they are still on my desk - I must drop them in tomorrow.  There are also lots of bits and pieces as I haven't got round to clearing up after making them!  To see lots more workdesks go to Julia's blog HERE!

  1. My favorite is the card with the key! I don't know why but I'm terribly attracted to keys! Old and new! How exciting that you were able to meet the Queen. I was just watching a TV show earlier when Reese Witherspoon was gushing about meeting the Duchess of cambridge. Even celebrities get excited to meet royalty! patsy #22

  15. I always think it's the bits on people's desks that are the most interesting. And the house card is lovely.

  24. I liked the Queen's outfit - thought it looked like Wedgwood china!
Nice cards there - you've been busy!! Unfortunately, having one of my bling bins doesn't stop you from trailing bits around everywhere - I do it with threads and pins all the time! LOL
