WOYWW 158

It's that time of the week again, when we have a wee look at everybody's workdesks - if you aren't sure what its all about, check Julia's blog.  My desk is a bit untidy again this week - I had to make quite a few cards for a couple of orders recently and I always find you pull out lots of stuff to make all the different types of cards - so there is a collection of dirty stamps piling up at the right hand side and a few dies gathering up -  I bought them recently and so just had to try them out - I used one of the Cheery Lynn butterfly dies and one of the Shapeabilities tags dies to make the wedding card below - its a bit overloaded with die cuts but you have to try out everything at once!  I found it hard to get the label out of the die, so I have stuck some of the Quickutz ejection foam on, and it seems to be working better now.
The paper came free with the 'Simply Homemade' magazine and I had been wondering what to do with it when I got a text from my Sis wanting me to make 3 thank you cards with a Jubilee theme - just perfect! - so that's what I'll be making next!

The circular plastic thing is part of my circle cutter set I bought at the very first craft fair in the Kings Hall, Belfast, many years ago now - from a company called Creative Memories - they mostly did scrapbooking, but I bought these sets in circles and ovals and have been using them to make cards ever since.

  2. Love the wedding card - know what you mean about the card being difficult to get out of some dies,I have used QK ejection foam too. Found I had to use it only on the parts with holes else my cutting plates made criss-cross marks on the card though. BJ#8

  9. Your card is really beautiful and not overloaded with dies, I think it is perfect. As for some help getting the dies out use some bluetack, you know the stuff you use on walls to hang pictures. I keep a ball of it on my big shot.

    Have a great crafting week
