Sweet stop sketch

I have two 21st birthday cards to make and so used this weeks Sweet Stop sketch for inspiration for the first one.  I used some of the paper from my recently purchased First Edition Desert Blooms 8 x 8 pad.  For the base card I used rose red card, seam binding ribbon and ink for stamping - all from Stampin Up.  The colours look much darker in the photo than IRL - the red is really more of a pinky shade than the wine colour shown here - bad photographer! The stamp is a vintage Sarah Kay one from Stampavie, coloured with Promarkers - I think it would have been better to use Prismacolour pencils for this image, but I was in too much haste!  Busy, busy now with lots of schemes of work to prepare for going back to school - its so hard to believe the summer holidays are over already!  Not much time for making cards these days unfortunately.

  1. What a sweet card Bernice. Love the cute image... perfect colors and papers. The round tag looks great! Thanks for playing along with us at The Sweet Stop!

  2. Love the Sarah Kay image you used for your card, Bernice! The colors, papers, and flowers are fabulous! Hope you have a great school year! Thanks for playing along with us at The Sweet Stop this week!
