I had a lovely wee trip down to the Linen Green in Dungannon this morning with
Eleanor to attend the Demo Day at the Paperworks craft shop.
Ruth Hamilton was demonstrating Tonic studios products (her own designs) and she showed us how to construct all sorts of beautiful flowers. We then had a look round the shop and bought some 'necessities'! We had a photo taken with some of the products and ideas in the background. Afterwards we had a lovely lunch and a wee look around some of the other shops. I even found some more nice fabric I 'needed' - I'm going through a sewing fad at the moment. Hopefully I'll have some more cards to show you soon! By the way I'm hosting a Stampin Up workshop on Friday the 15th of March at 2pm - so if there's anyone in the area (Ballinamallard, Co Fermanagh) who would like to attend, feel free to get in touch!
Hi Bernice....it was so lovely to meet you both today. I didn't realise you'd be there so that was an added bonus to the day. I really enjoyed myself and I hope you did too. Hope you enjoyed the lunch in the Loft - mine was well worth the wait in that big queue :). I've added this photo and one of you both together to my FB page here...http://www.facebook.com/ruth.hamilton.31105
ReplyDeleteand I'll get them on the blog tomorrow hopefully - need to get to bed now.

Sounds like you had a lovely crafty day ... I haven't been in the Linen Green shop myself, but bought some goodies from their stall last time I was at the Belfast craft show.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my desk this week, Bernice! That's a nice pic above, you look as if you really enjoyed yourself :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the oilcloth sewing!!! I tried it once, never again. But you are probably a far more patient person than I am........ Top tips would be use a jeans needle in your machine and put some Sellotape underneath a spare machine foot so that it doesn't stick to the cloth as you're pulling it through...oh, and sew at a slow speed.
Let me know how you get on!!
