WOYWW 192

I have been MIA these last couple of weeks - still making some cards etc, but just haven't had time to get them photographed and onto the blog.  I've also been getting started on the sample textiles items for my creative crafts class - a carrier bag tidy, a pocket tissue holder and the other bag thing is supposed to be toiletries bag but I think its just the right size for my scarf knitting!  The girls in school have now finished making a felt needle case and one of the wee tissue holders.  Next they will probably do a carrier bag holder then a little bit of crochet and knitting before deciding on their final items.  I think I'll maybe have to buy some more of the cupcake fabric - I have lots of ideas of things you could make with it.  I like to do lots of sewing when I've all the stuff out.  The cat likes to play with the bobbins and spools of thread - she had the furniture in the dining area and conservatory all tied up last night!  To find out what everyone else has been doing this week, visit Julia's blog HERE.

  4. Oh, these look beautifully made and finished! I haven't done much sewing lately(lacking the need, and these days I find fine work a bit challenging to the old eyesight) but I do enjoy it once the machine is out - and like you, I have a "helpful" cat who things the bobbins are cat toys! Happy WOYWW! xxx Keren

  12. Such pretty makes! The wee tissue holder is so sweet. I'm thinking of breaking my small sewing machine out and putting some liners on the back of the fabric drapes in the bedroom. I think that might be at my skill level--some straight line sewing! I'll let you know when I'm ready to join your class. Don't wait up!
