As I couldn't get to sleep tonight, I thought I may as well just get up and join in
this week's WOYWW! My desk is reasonably tidy except for the large pile of bits of paper and card I am trying to use up. The cream card in the centre is what's left after I had to chop off the 'flap' part when I stuck the designer paper on upside down - so I will need to rethink that plan!! The paper bows on the right hand side were made on my new envelope punch board and that black thing under the desk is for putting my feet on as my legs are very short! (I think it's really for typists, but I find it useful too). I have been tidying up my craft room this week (not that you could tell from this photo) but now there is a lot of stuff accumulating on the top of the desk, so maybe by the time I get it all sorted I will feel sleepy enough to go back to bed! I must go now and see if
Julia has the linky thing up yet or I may just have to wait until the morning.
I love your desk. I've always wanted one. You have some great crafting goodies on your desk. Have fun cleaning. #1
ReplyDeleteTee hee. I have one of those foot rests, too. If I didn't have, I wouldn't be able to reach my keyboard (grin). Now you see why I stand when I make art.
ReplyDeleteHope you figure out the design before you have to remove more paper. I've had that happen to me, too. But I'm sure it will come together in the end. Happy WOYWW from # 3.
I love your roll top desk, always wanted one with all the nooks and crannies.

Your desk is just beautiful!! You have lots of papers out to use up- looks like it could take a while... Have a great day. Helen 10
ReplyDeleteI love those little bows...so cute. They would be useful on so many things. Good luck with the tidying - seems it takes so long to make it clean, but it gets messed up again in the blink of an eye! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty, pretty desk - I have a thing for roll-tops - so elegant!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW :)

What a lovely desk, I always wanted one like that growing up, loved the little slots and dividers to put thing into. You look like a productive desk, wont take much to clean up. I think sleep is more important sometimes than playing. I hope you can get some rest. Have a great week, happy WOYWW and happy crafting.

ReplyDeletewhat a super desk Bernice, and that is without looking at what is on it. Gorgeous piece of furniture, so un-Ikea like, lots of character.
ReplyDeletePretty flowers and bows there, nice cards will be made with those.
Hope you caught up with your sleep.

A great desk, getting alot of use. The foot rest is a good thing I still have mine from when I used to work and I'm pretty tall. Francesca #62
ReplyDeleteGreat view Bernice..when you've got both of the slide out trays in action too, you are literally surrounded - how lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh wow Bernice, cool roll top desk with all those drawers and shelves and pull out extensions. The bows are looking good - nifty envelope maker :-) and I see some flowers too...nice creative desk, cheers RobynO#51
ReplyDeleteWell it paid off getting online and getting 2nd place, what cute desk you have but I dont think I could work in such a small space, you've seen my workspace lol
ReplyDeleteBridget #65
That's a gorgeous desk!
ReplyDeleteI adore your desk, as for the paper, all good desks need paper stacks. I always end up with piles of paper just like yours. At least you are using yours, mine just keep right on growing.

Very inviting desk!! Thanks for sharing!! I should try one of those foot rests!!Have a great week!! Ginny #74
ReplyDeleteI love your desk! I suffer from insomnia too but I'm never clear-headed enough to attempt crafting, lol! If I did I'd far more "rethinks" myself!!! Hope you got more sleep!
ReplyDeleteI never noticed that your desk was up against the wall before. For some reason I thought it was open behind your desk like mine. Well, mine has a little 3-foot wall divider thingy, but not a full on wall. Look at all that paper you have doing on there. Do you think you'll get it used up soon or is it wishful thinking? I know I often get great ideas like that. I also get crazy things like paper on upside down as well. Insanity loves company. I have a little stool under my desk for my feet. Love it!
ReplyDeleteNot being able to sleep is a major pain in the whatsit...I find it's worse sometimes cos of my age...sigh. I just read now and eventually I'll drop off.
ReplyDeleteThe tote bag is fun...here's the link: http://debbieshore.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/zipped-tote-bag-tutorial.html
This is a video but she does a step by step on her blog too if you search for it. If you do make it then I would lengthen the handles by a few centimetres. Have fun making :-)

Sorry to hear you couldn't sleep. I've many times wondered if I should just get up and get some crafting done, but usually reading a book does the trick. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.
Happy Woyww,

Love your desk, lucky you. Karen #101
ReplyDeleteThat's such a good looking desk! Why would we ever trade it for that fancier one?!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your desk, it looks quite tidy to me, you even have space underneath lol!
