WOYWW 181

More mini crackers this week! A few people were wondering how they were made - so I'm showing some unfinished ones here.  We made these at a SU workshop last winter and I kept the card template then scanned it into my computer and used the scan to make a template for the Craft Robo - you can cut two out of an A4 sheet of card - and the Craft Robo saves a lot of time cutting out.  The size of each cracker before folding is about 5 inches wide by 5.5 inches long and you can see where the litlle diamonds are cut out to leave 5 'sides' - one slightly smaller than the others - you overlap and stick this side to form the shape.  The folding is made easier by scoring each side first.  You punch a strip of patterned paper with an edging punch and stick this across the centre before folding.  Then you can put a couple of wrapped sweets inside and tie the ends tightly with ribbon.  Finish by decorating with a small poinsettia or snowflake.
You can also see lots more felt keyrings, bookmarkers, etc, just waiting to be packaged for our craft stall on Saturday!
