Home Again!

We had a great day out at the NEC yesterday and bought some new bits and pieces.  The new stamps from LOTV were on sale and it was SO hard to choose.  I had a couple from the previous release on my list and then got three of the new ones as well.  I also bought a Stampavie Sarah Kay stamp and some birthday and sympathy 'verses' from www.circadesign.co.uk - I have been using the same 4 or 5 birthday messages for a few years now, so thought it was time for a change - it's so much handier to stamp in a verse than to have to print it off on the computer.  I got an embossing folder and a couple of poppystamp dies to make a window box card.  The www.oysterstamps.co.uk stand had a lovely card on display using these dies.  I also bought some basic card and envelopes, die cut decoupage, LOTV die cut squares, pearls, doilies, etc.  I looked everywhere for the new Doodlebug 6 x 6 pads, but no-one seemed to have any.  I couldn't find any Flexmarkers to buy individually either, so I'll just have to order them online.  It was an early start - we left home at 5:40, got to the airport at 7:30 - just in time for tea and toast before flying over to Birmingham.  We flew back at 6:50pm and were home by 10!  We hadn't realised you couldn't bring glue in your hand luggage and my friend got stopped by security and had to unpack her purchases - it was OK as I had a stamped, addressed Jiffy bag 'just in case' - so it should arrive in the post at the beginning of the week!
