This week I have been trying to make cards to stock up the stand in school and the craft shop where I sell them. I have been using toppers to speed things up - and also to use them up before I go and buy more at the NEC in March! However, as we had a few days off for mid-term I decided to take a break and build a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle, so I haven't made nearly enough cards. I have also been knitting a red cardigan but I am unable to show you it, as Whiskers has decided it needs to be guarded with her life! - she was trying to make it into a bed by clawing at it, so I had to put it all inside the stripy bag to keep it safe and now she's sitting on top of it!! Visit the other desks this week HERE at Julia's blog.

Morning Bernice. That's a cute card. Hope you get the rest made which you need. Will you get that knitting finished, do you think, or will a certain somebody keep it under lock and key?!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

What is it with cats and knitting?? Not just clawing/playing with the yarn but just needing to be on you while you're actually clicking away with the needles? I only have to pick mine up and my two are clamouring to get on my knee..not so bad when I'm knitting beanies but terrible if I'm crocheting a big blanket :-D

I've heard of guard dogs, but guard cats??? Perhaps it's a hint that you should knit a kitty sized version too lol. Sarah #23

ReplyDeleteWhiskers loves it so much she wants it for her own! Great cardmaking! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #37
ReplyDeleteThe card is very cute. How nice that you have a place that sells them for you! Funny about the knitting. Even in the bag it must be comfortable - just tell Whiskers to avoid the needles!

Well, I'd say that Whiskers won that round! I think a jigsaw is just a perfect way to focus without stress, I love them. 1000 pieces is a big un! Good luck with stocking the cards, it's really good that you have an outlet.
ReplyDeleteLove your cat when she is sitting there guarding your knitting at least your jigsaw pieces are safe. Love jigsaws I find them addictive and once started have to finish them in one go have been known to sit up all night doing one.
