WOYWW 305
I have been a very bad blogger of late. I just don't seem to have much time these days. I haven't been making many cards of late as I have been making wedding stationery. But I've also been crocheting - it started with a little hat for my great niece and now I've just finished my eighth! To visit all the work desks this week visit Julia's blog HERE.

Those hats are so gorgeous! You made them in coordinating colors with the girls' outfits. And the baby/toddler hats are a delight! You are so clever. Doing one... ok, but doing eight!? You are truly a lovely auntie.

Those hats are gorgeous! I feel like they could be in an Etsy shop. The models are gorgeous too. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! You are back! I check in on you and your desk every so often. Love these hats! They are so sweet. I bought a similar one for a baby shower gift and got swamped with orders to make more. LOL! I had to tell people I didn't make it nor do I know who did. They are very popular and yours are fabulous! Hey there Bernice, it's good to see you back! I ADORE those little hats, they are soooo cute, as are your beautiful models :-). If you don't mind me asking, what pattern did you use? I can think of a little girl who would look fab in one of those!

Hi Jan, I got the pattern from the following link - http://thewhoot.com.au/whoot-news/crafty-corner/crochet-panama-hats However, when I looked it up it was originally in Russian, but had been partially translated - there are very good close up photos of each step, so between the photos and the numerals in the pattern, I was able to work it out - then for the smaller size I just left out the last increase row and made it a bit shorter. It's not as complicated as it sounds!!! If you look on my Facebook page and scroll down, you should find the photos of the alternative versions - I haven't tried them yet!
DeleteOMG those hats are so beautiful it reminds me of the hats I had my daughter wear when she was little, she never went out without her hat. No wonder you haven't had time for blogging. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW
