Tote bags

I finished the bag I was working on a few days ago and made another one in pink and green as well.  They have an oilcloth patterned outside and are fully lined with the plain fabric.  There are a couple of pockets inside for keys, phone etc.

WOYWW 212

I'm working at a different desk this week - my dining room table.  I need lots more space when I'm using my sewing machine and so I generally work here instead of in my craft room.  I'm making another owl oilcloth tote bag - I've been asked to make a couple more and found this nice turquoise fabric for the lining instead of pink or green - it's my favourite colour as you will probably know by now - it even matches the vase in the middle of the table and my sewing machine!!  To pay a visit to all the other workdesks this week, visit Julia HERE.

Lilac Anniversary

A quick anniversary card I made recently, using one of my LOTV diecut squares (no longer available).  I followed the layout on this weeks Sketch and Stash challenge and the yellow coloured card and ribbon are both from SU, as is the oval punch.  The larger flower has been in my stash for ages - probably came from Crafts U Love and the smaller ones are puched from a scrap of the lilac paper.  The background has been embossed using my new 6 x 6 square embossing folder.

WOYWW 211

This week, I've been using my Bigkick machine to die cut some letters for DH's RC model heli - he has only just realised the necessity of owning a diecutting machine (the one he 'bought' me for Christmas - well I just ordered it of course!!) I think he has been getting a bit carried away with all this G8 stuff going on here - its been a constant stream of helicopters for the last two days!  This one hasn't actually flown yet as there has been an exclusion zone in force - maybe tomorrow it will be allowed - we really don't want to risk it getting shot down by one of President Obama's hawks! Anyway he will add it to his collection - it's a bit like us crafters with new paper - you just like to look at it - but not so keen on actually using it!  Maybe everyone else will have some more normal craftiness on their desks this week - just have a look on Julia's blog HERE.

Baby sampler

I finished off this baby sampler for a customer last week and haven't really accomplished much crafty stuff since.  On Thursday we attended the wedding I had made the stationery for.  We had a really nice day and a lovely meal.  The large collection of paper flowers, ribbon and pearl embellishments came in useful for making up my wee corsage to match my outfit!

Then Hannah finished her GCSEs on Friday - she is delighted to be at home now with nothing to do - mind you she is mad about helicopters and is currently up in a tree house on the top of the hedge with binoculars, examining all the helicopters flying over to the G8!
I had to leave Mum into Enniskillen earlier and the place was swarming with police, but no traffic or members of the public to be seen!  There were about four tents and a gazebo on the Broad Meadow - the area where the protesters were supposed to be gathering - so it looks like a major underestimation there!

WOYWW 209

A great big untidy mess - that's what!  Hopefully no-one else will have quite such an untidy desk this week and something much more creative for you to look at - visit Julia's blog HERE to find out! I have just finished a set of wedding stationery and a few other orders for cards that had to be done in a hurry - so I haven't had a chance yet to get everything tidied up.  Then I was making up a couple of decoupage images that came free with a magazine - in my favourite colour - 'Pool party' - so I will get them made up into cards soon.  The weather has been beautiful here for the last few days so its tempting to go outside and make the best of it while it lasts - there'll be plenty of time to tidy up the craft room when the rain comes back!

Thank you

This card was made following this weeks Sketchy Challenge.  The decoupage image and some of the papers are Nitwits.  The thankyou message is a SU stamp, cut out with a Nesties die.  The bunting was also made with a die.

Labrador thank you

Another quick card, made using some more of my kraft card.  The labrador topper came from a sheet of doggy pics I bought at the craft fair in Belfast from JJD crafts.  The blue card is bazzil linen textured card and the buttons, embossing folder and oval shaped punches are all from SU.  For the layout I followed the Papertake Weekly sketch.
